Hello Dave, Rico is definitely enjoying all the extra attention! My daughter is the keeper of a lot of bird facts, so I find out quite a lot of things, over dinner, walking to school.
Thanks for reading and I hope you are having a great day.
I have never liked roosters until I read about Rico. I have so many bad thoughts to make amends for. Thank you for sharing your family's love and kindness.
Hi, Kate, or should I say Sisters in Crime/2? I’m not a huge bird fan ever since a sparrow dive-bombed my black cap when I was about five years old. Still, I think Rico is great. Great job with your running and nursing Rico back from the brink. I absolutely DO believe in miracles. I’m 67 years old and have believed in miracles all along except for about four years during my late teens. Thanks for sharing your photos, giving me a chance to experience something I never could if I’d lived half a century earlier. Nitey-nite, my friend!
Yes to miracles! I agree, birds are can be dangerous, we have the Magpie here in Australia that likes to dive bomb cyclists and anyone they don't like the look of in the breeding season. Thanks for reading and for your lovely comments, take care, Kate :)
Thanks Gord, always so much to learn from our feathered friends. Hope all is well in Canada. We are getting excited about the Snowballs visiting later this year. Take care, Kate
Thanks Alexander, we still can’t believe it. Makes me think I should give our animals the benefit of the doubt, they too can recover and walk again. Thanks for reading. 🙏
What a mystery. Risen from the dead, and in time for Easter too! That's a great story about Rico.
And congratulations on the run. That elevation sounds tough.
Yay for Rico! One very handsome chook!
And I didn't know that about avocado.... so good to know now!
Congratulations on the big run, and thanks for another entertaining and also very thoughtful post.
Best Wishes - Dave :)

Thank you so much, and a warm hello from the south of our Island. ☺️

This we share, I am stopping by the chicken pen a little more than usual now, and softening my thoughts. Take care 😊
Beautiful! Thanks Kate ❤️❤️

Thank you too, Kate! You live in a wonderful place and thank you for bringing it to your readers through your words and pictures.
Beautiful story. Always had chickens when I was a boy. Always had chickens when my kids were young too!
