I love that feeling you describe, Kate, about the mountain pushing you to survive. I know it so intimately, and it always reminds me that life isn't meant to be easy, we are all at nature's mercy, and somehow that makes us feel more alive.
Saying that, the weather has turned nasty on our camping trip and we are enjoying a dry night in a motel in Mount Gambier. Warm showers, takeaway, TV, a heater, and comfy bed 😅
Thank you Gord for sharing your thoughts and for joining me on the mountain. I think I was trying to write my way back up to the top of the mountain. It is glorious, and I hope you and Arleen can visit Tasmania again and walk there too. Hope all is well in Canada, Kate :)
Just a beautiful, exquisite piece. Thank you for sharing your heart so raw and honest, yet gentle and thrilling. There is a humble feeling and yet a joy that ripples in your piece. It is a surrender that is also heroic. Th writing is gorgeous and so is your heart/soul. Love to you and blessings.

Hello Alia, I hope you are feeling warm and refreshed and ready to head back into the outback on your wonderful adventure.
Thank you for your thoughts, being in nature is the best way to remember our vulnerability and at the same time, our gratitude for being here.
Safe travels :)
Thanks for taking this near-shut-in along with you. And I like the poem too.
My pleasure 🗻
Beautiful Kate. Xoxo
Thanks Gillian 🙏
I love the beautiful intimacy of your writing. Makes me feel I am there with you or even that I am there on my own.
